Impressive shot Mike and excellent conversion!

I think this is partly correct ... they run out of money for planes for the 2nd vessel HMS Prince Charles (well, poor Charles again).
If I remember correctly she experienced a significant flooding in the engine room during sea trial some weeks ago. And NOT because of the parts my engineering team designed for the propulsion:lol:
It was a fun project - thanks for your tax money KD!

A shot from August 2019. I took a ferry between the German island Sylt and the Danish island Rømø when a heavy rain-front approached.
Well, the rain hit me when I rode my motorbike across Rømø:)

No that is not correct (I have done IP test myself).
A shaft seal for a turbine or generator for example has "a huge opening" but is tested and certified with a correctly machined shaft (which in the final application is not scope of the supply of the seal manufacturer. Of course the seal has an IPX rating. And this rating is only applicable if assembled around the correct shaft.

I have not used my K3 at all since getting the K1 ... but started playing around with it again.
It is a very capable camera, the K1 doesn't change that fact - I just needed a gentle reminder, it seems:D.

Two from an evening walk around the village.

Full-frame vs. cropped lenses on APS-C camera

Or no sensor at all:) The lens has no idea what sensor is behind the lens ... why should the performance be affected??
You are simply "overthinking" the issue. But don't worry, at one point in time most of us have been there.
My advice is: Just enjoy shooting ... and rest assured that FF-lenses will work without quality issues on APS-C.

I'm afraid you are wrong - well actually I'm happy you are wrong, because I can use my favorite FF lenses without hesitation on FF and APS-C bodies.
What makes you believe a FF lens would have a different resolution depending on the sensor format? The capture with an APS-C sensor just records the "best" i.e. center portion of the image projected by the lens.

For northern Germany we have a surprising amount of snow and very cold weather at the moment.
Some birds looking for food in my garden came quite close to my office window.

In "normal times" I am travelling to China and Japan frequently and might do "analoge" business with them:lol:
But I also wouldn't hesitate to use them if I couldn't get local support here.
Whenever I have done business with Japanese businesses it has been without issues (other than occasional language issues).
Their business ethics typically meets very high standards.

So thanks again for sharing your experience. Great to have such an option when needed.
