Thanks for all the replies!
I do have an F35 70 lens that i use sometimes on the MZ-S.
When i use this compact zoom in manual mode, i don't like the feeling of it.
Would the FA43 have a better feel than the 35/70 ?

Thanks for the feedback!
Seems like it's worthwhile to track down an example and do some testings.
Is there a difference between an japan and vietnam made model?

Hello,
I would like some opinions on the 43 limited for manual use only.
The last 2 years i use my pentax lx the most with the M35/2 and K55/1.8. Sometimes i wish for a lens in between, the 43.
Pentax 43 is an autofocus lens, that can be used in manual. My concern is how the manual focus feels.
I don't like the fly by wire manual focus on a fuji X-T1, so i'm a bit hesitant to pay the cash is the feel of the lens is sloppy.
Does the 43 feel as an lens of the good old times, or should i stay with the 35/55 combo.
Input appreciated,
Best Regards,
Adam

Thanks for all the replies!
Had read the reviews about the K & M version, but tought i would gather some more info if i asked.
Only shot one roll of film with the 35 2 and find it quite sharp even wide open. Mostly used for people shots in the evening.
Strange thing that the M version is wider than te K version!

Hello,
I have the opportunity to buy an K35 2 lens, but recently acquired an M 35 2.
I mainly shoot b&w film.
Is there someone who has both and can tell me their difference is worth having both?
Or is the K so much better over the m that i need to look and buy the K version and eventually sell the M?
regards,
Adam

Asked a quote a time back from harrow techincal. They quote 120 pound standard cla + sticky mirror and shipment.
About the film speed dial, seems strange, because normally you need to press a knob to turn the iso scale. so i expect there will be something lost or broken there…

Nice shot!
I never used tmax developer at this moment, but for what i've read i don't think there will be much different pushing tmax with xtol or tmax developer to 1600.
The tgrian is great for a push, it stay's more than acceptable!
Never used microphen either, is it that good @3200?

I've prefer tmax over delta 400, i found (personally) that delta get's more contrasty than tmax, even rated at 400. For me tmax has a bit more greyscale range than delta.
Used xtol to develop tmax.

I know the samyang is a great lens, and the 1.4 aperture does appeal! But i like the K or M 85 because of their size also!

Hello,
Would anybody have used both lenses and give me some advice on these?
At the moment i'm looking for a lens in the 85mm range to use on my pentax film body's (K-mount preffered).
I can buy an K 85 1.8 or and M 85 2 more or less for the same price. Both get good reviews, but what would be the best choice and why.
I also have the possibility to buy an super Tak 85 1.9 with obvious cleaning marks on the front glass for about half the price.
Regards,
Adam
