What an excellent response - saves me (and others) a whole lot of verbiage.

Maybe Shiner can restore his personal credibility with a response - but I suspect he is the shoot and run personality type.

Sir - you just don't get it!

Everything you wrote here (with the exception of the word "liberals") applies equally to yourself and like minded people. You have said nothing unique here and nothing conceptually different (except for your own verbiage, maybe), from that which may be found on any right wing forum.

Slogans, labels, catch phrases, tired out rhetoric and personal invective are the tools of ALL political parties including Republicans - because they work. Boring but true and you are using exactly the same tactics yourself!

Take a look at yourself a little bit more objectively. Your "opinions" are not FACT any more than are mine - what is more, given time and self maturity, even your own opinions may well change!

(Incidentally, I also have spent 5 years in the military but I would not dream of using this fact to reinforce the extra value or worth that should be placed on my political opinions)

I think he probably does "..see it..." because he is not stupid.

The problem is that he feels that he has the right to be scornful, insulting and to categorize (or label) everybody who has a different opinion to himself whereas they most definitely should admire and respect his own contrary, political opinions.

Read your own text man (not only the example quoted here) - you yourself come over as hate filled and full of contempt for anyone with different view to yourself, such as all Liberals, homosexuals and feminists!

Did you ever consider the fact that maybe you are an extremist yourself, and if not why not?

Joshua Bekenstein and Stephen Pagliuca are free men, if they choose to donate to an Obama Victory Fund - let them.

The funds should be gratefully received - and put to good use!

Absolutely correct translation!

In other words:

"I only pay taxes because I have no choice, I do not agree with the concept of taxes and if I also had the means to "shelter" in other countries so that I reduced my liability to zero I would do so immediately. In short I wish I was like GE last year and pay zero taxes - only a fool agrees with taxation!";);)

If you are really inviting input...??

One example from myself, (apart from the foreground/background issues mentioned previously) I would have brightened them for a start because they are all a touch too dark in my opinion, although that is subjective opinion - I agree.

There is a (snobbish?) school out there which take great pride in not doing any post processing and yes most of us with a little experience behind us could do the same if we wanted to - me included.

I take great pride in all my finished pictures and that includes taking the picture and getting it RIGHT in the camera as well as using post processing to obtain the best possible results. The best results always require some post processing in my very humble opinion.

Yes, I am aware of the other extreme - which is too much post processing producing worst pictures than those straight from the camera.

DNG file format is what you are looking for I think.
Your camera should give you the choice of saving in PEF or DNG.
Adobe supplies a converter - see Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter : For Windows : Adobe DNG Converter 7.1

Sir, with your philosophical outlook on life Its a wonder that you haven't done away with yourself. As a contributor to this forum (and also based upon your own intellectual effort in this forum) you are clearly not in GROUP 1 above and therefor how can you live being "totally dependent (on Group 1) and with your only motivation in life being Fear and Envy"?

This is the same old downside or problem with Democracy everywhere - the people need to be carried kicking and screaming towards their own self interest. Special Interests excel in making sure that that is true and they do a real good job of enlisting "we the people" to fight against their own good.

The masses are their own worst enemy and they never seem to realize this and that process is exactly what is occurring now with "Obamacare".

Boehner: I can't make you love Mitt Romney - Political Hotsheet - CBS News

QuoteQuote:

Speaking last week at a fundraiser in Wheeling, W.Va., Boehner was surprisingly candid in his characterization of Romney's candidacy when asked, in a question-and-answer session: "Can you make me love Mitt Romney?"

..........."No," he answered, as first reported by Roll Call. "Listen, we're just politicians. I wasn't elected to play God. The American people probably aren't going to fall in love with Mitt Romney."

He added that the presumptive Republican nominee had "some friends, relatives, and fellow Mormons... some people that are going to vote for him," but suggested that at the end of the day, Republicans would be voting against President Obama rather than for Romney.

"I'll tell you this: 95 percent of the people that show up to vote in November are going to show up in that voting booth, and they are going to vote for or against Barack Obama," Boehner said. "This election is going to be a referendum on the president's failed economic policies. "

Calling Romney a "solid guy," Boehner went on to say that the former Massachusetts governor is "going to do a great job, even if you don't fall in love with him." .........

(My highlight above.....)

With friends like that (Boehner) who needs enemies?

(Original from Winder):

(The soul-destroying search for a family doctor - The Globe and Mail[/url]

The first thing I did was register with an Ontario government program called Health Care Connect, which aims to match people like me with doctors who are accepting patients. But both the woman on the end of the phone, and the pamphlet she later sent me, stipulated there is no guarantee a doctor will be found. Since the program was started in 2009, fewer than 60 per cent of the people registered have successfully been paired with a family physician.....

I phoned all 84 doctors who were listed as practising within 10 kilometres of my home. Some of their receptionists were polite. Some were surly. All rejected me.

In 2010, 4.4 million Canadians, or 15 per cent of the population aged 12 and older, reported they did not have a regular medical doctor.

Be careful when you are using selective, subjective, probably biased (and certainly self serving) individual opinions (see above) to make inferred (or suggested) 'objective' points!

Here is a quote from Statistics Canada - possibly a little more objective and realistic comment, although it too should be taken with a grain of salt!

Jason, you are doing exactly what I mentioned in my post above yours, namely rationalizing.

There are many possible stages of mobile phone usage between "switching your phone off" every time you finish a conversation and compulsively using every spare moment of your day "diddling" with your phone regardless as to whether you may also be driving at the same time (or not) or walking towards a fountain in the mall!
