Just finished: Blue Latitudes, Boldly Going Where Captain Cook Has Gone Before, by Tony Horowitz, 2002, 444 pages.

A good read, I now know more about the 18th century explorer than previously.

It's actually the grill on my Tacoma. Having owned the truck a few months only, I recently noticed the embedded colors. The diagonal strip is the only portion in focus on the previous photo.

Called Precision on 13 January and spoke to Chrissy(?) who, after checking their system said she would contact the Pentax rep to find out the status.

Got a call from Precision on 16 January telling me that it had been repaired and would ship from them that day.

I checked the status on their website last night where a UPS tracking code was shown, but, it had not been picked up by them, yet.

This morning, 23 January, my lens is enroute with expected delivery 28 January.

Website indicated lens received three weeks ago, yet it had not moved to repair.

By telephone I learned today that it had been shipped to Japan for repair.

How long does it take to get an email response on a quote for service from them so I can print it and ship the item?

Just completed:
"The Wars Of The Roses" The Fall of the Plantagenets and the Rise of the Tudors
by Dan Jones, 2014, 340 pages.

I do like Jones' thoroughness in each of the books by him I have read. His latest, "The Crusaders" in in my pile of unreads.

No, just some underground roadwork in progress as part of the new housing development in the background.

They had to have swerved off the main roadway and behind the all delineators and k-rail, and, in broad daylight.

Just completed: "THE PLANTAGENETS" The Warrior Kings and Queens Who Made England, by Dan Jones, 2012, 510 pages.

I went here after reading Dan Jones' book "Magna Carta" to delve more deeply into an area of history I've always been ignorant of - British royalty.

Most interesting, and, recommended.

Just completed:

"Worlds of Arthur" Facts & Fictions of the Dark Ages by Guy Halstall
2013, 307 pages

Covering post-imperial Britain from the late 4th to early 7th centuries, a period without written record and how later gap-filling tales of "King Arthur" could not be based on anyone we could actually know.
