Yes, they are actually much easier to hold than they appear.

I recently picked up a SMC Pentax-A 645 35/3.5. This is one of the test shots I did with it.

Pentax ME/ME Super/ME F Exposure Compensation

The exposure compensation is all electronic. Mechanically, you only get 1/125.
Also, 4x exposure compensation would result in 1/30s shutter speed.
Why not try some batteries in it?

Thanks Kevin. I've been driving past this place for years and always wanted to stop and take photos here. It's one of those places that is hard to remember where it is, and you can't really see it from I-5 until you pass the exit. I finally managed to stop, and got a few photos just before it started pouring rain.

If you hook your thumbnail on the underside of the upper flange and press upwards gently, then pull the spool release, the bottom of the spool will pop out and you can then easily remove the spool.

Looking for the next body

I don't disagree with you regarding handling, as handling is fairly subjective. One person may love the way a camera handles, and someone else may not like it at all, and that is fine.

Your method of changing aperture in Tv mode with the MZ-S doesn't quite add up. By adjusting the exposure compensation you are effectively changing aperture, but you are also changing the overall exposure. Wouldn't it be simpler to adjust the shutter speed dial to get the aperture you want?

Minolta Film Bodies (AF ones)

I'm pretty sure as long as it's Alpha mount and screwdrive AF, the Sony Alpha lenses should work on any Alpha/Maxxum/Dynax film bodies.

The PZ-1P/Z-1P and PZ-1/Z-1 (essentially all the same camera) allow for all shooting modes (HypM, Av, Tv, HypP) with A series or newer lenses, including lenses without an aperture ring. With M and K series lenses, they allow for Av and M shooting modes.

The MZ-S is limited to Tv and P when using lenses without an aperture ring.

The body /handling of the PZ-1P is more like a typical DSLR than a classic film camera.
The handling of the MZ-S is rather unique.

I much prefer the PZ-1P to the MZ-S.

According to the articles I have read, Canon stopped production of any film cameras sometime in 2010.
This latest news is that they sold the last of their remaining stock.

Someone here had a roll of Seattle Filmworks film, and they found a lab somewhere that developed it.
Over the years I have been given a number of rolls of that film, but I don't want to deal with trying to get it developed.

Nice work, Kevin.
I have some Provia 400F. It's all quite expired now, but I quite like the results I've got with it.

Some of those Konica cameras are very intriguing. The old FP is a beautiful looking camera.
I had a Super Program briefly, and kinda didn't like the feel of it. Good camera though.
With Fujicolor C200, if it's fresh I shoot it at box speed. I haven't seen any benefit when I expose it differently. If it's expired... then it's a crap shoot...
