Some times I visualize a work of art in a tree. This one reminds me of an African sculpture.

Some very good information here, already. I'd suggest a monopod with a simple tilt head. It's not as good as a tripod but better than hand held if your struggling to get sharp pictures. If you go that route, check out some Youtube videos for technique and practice before you visit the park.

There is just something about old, rusty vehicles. Taken with a SMC K 30mm f2.8 on the K-5iis.

Like old vehicles, Pentax gear ages well.

Touching story, Jer. Happy to hear your lovely has fully recovered and is back on a bike. I'm another bike enthusiast, interesting to see how many of us PF members ride. It there something about cameras and bikes?

I ride the rural road around the area and find having lights and a mirror very beneficial. I noticed she has lights but didn't notice a mirror (I might have missed it). I have one of those small rectangular mirrors that attached to the arm of my sun glasses to watch what's coming up behind me. The guys in our group put me on to this handy little device. A mirror might not have helped your wife but, then again, it might have. Just trying to give a few words of advice, hope I'm not being too over bearing.

Need some help on lens condition

Hi all, I'm looking at a Pentax lens on fleebay. The condition is described as follows: "lens is in overall excellent condition and image quality is impressive. The optics are without any scratches or noticeable cleaning marks. However on the element just below the front group there looks to be a smallish patch of dried condensation around a small section of its edge… this is one of those issues that is invisible unless you turn the lens in a way that it catches the light and then it can be seen. It is without fungus or hazing and is otherwise very clean internally with minimal dust present. It is focusing smoothly and the aperture is snappy with the blades in excellent condition."

I requested pictures from the seller. What questions should I ask, what should I concerned with?

Thx in advance

Happy to see another 200/2.5 shooter. It appears you have the focus under control.

That brings back memories. Our parish priest drove a 1956 Buick 2 door sedan, black in color (black because that's what priests drove, to match their attire). All us kids wanted to buy it because it was a manual trans.

The K 200mm f2.5 appears to be one of those lenses that folks either love or hate. It's big, heavy, can be challenge to nail focus. Furthermore, as Kerrowdown points out, it's a seemly unloved focal length these days. I guess we can say it's not a lens for the faint at heart but I like the results I get with it. Here are a few from a visit to the waterfront this past weekend.
