The DA70 and the FA43 are doing that job splendidly for me....
DA70 is just perfectly sharp and gives nice head and shoulder shots and the colour rendering on the FA43 is just....breathtaking :p

DA* 16-50mm vs DA 15/21/35

For me the DA*16-50 just didn't work and i made the choice to sell it for the DA15/FA*24/FA43.
But like others said, find out the style (zoom or prime) you like and make your decision based on that.

Good luck with it! :)

  • DA15 - For wideangle shots like buildings and landscape and for those different up close and personal photos.

  • FA*24 - Walkarond lens when i expect i need some more angle on my shots and family group shots.

  • FA43 - Portraits and walkaround option when i want to capture some street action and especially those faces....

  • DA70 - Purely portraits and when i need something longer...

my M 50mm 1.7 is for manual learning & pleasure.

If I have the 16-50, does it make sense to get the 15mm 4?

Not consciously done, but yes indeed, but they where added apart from my decision i needed
the 15 over the 16-50.
I just related my swap of the 2 lenses to the OP's question.
