It would be interesting to have the posters here tell us why they think their images should have been accepted? Its a good way to evaluate your images.

Perhaps people should not blindly believe everything that is posted.

Perhaps a buyer in their own words bought a lens to take pictures at her brothers wedding and even sent an email stating how much she loved the lens and how beautiful the images were it took.

Perhaps the seller still has all these emails????
There was nothing wrong with the lens. Look at the facts, who on earth would wait almost 2 months to let a seller know something was wrong with a lens they paid that much money for????? HELLO!!!
Plus I insured it for the full retail amount just in case something happened during shipping to protect her. The tiny piece to the lens hood and the bag were shipped out and returned to me.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm
Perhaps the buyer is slandering and trying to ruin my name and business because I would not take the lens back after about 2months of her having it and loving it. Perhaps the buyer is upset that I would not also send them money.

Perhaps the seller is now looking at taking legal action against the buyer who is now posting on one of my web sites????? Interesting that now there are new claims of additional pieces missing. Also she has been repeatedly told it was out of warranty both verbally and in written communication.
And to clear things up, my health situation did not arise until months after the lens was sold in perfect working condition! The only reason my Pentax equipment was sold is because I have a real viable photography business and need to be able to rent equipment locally when I need it and it is impossible to do with Pentax in this area. There are always to sides to every story. Perhaps other sellers should beware of selling here, this could happen to you too. So morale of the story, if you are going to make posts like this you should consider the buyer may have kept all your emails and can produce them if they decide to take legal action against you as and use them as proof. I will never sell another item here, never. It doesn't matter how honest I have run my business for over 25 years. All it takes is 1 buyer to post like this and your name turns to mud.
I will also note that a slanderous comment was added to one of my web sites despite my working with a mod to clear this up. So what does this say about the buyer??????

I have had a recent interest in one lens I still have for sale and I will not sell it now even though it works like new because of this experience. So this buyer is slandering and costing me time and money.

If any one has an issue over this thread contact me, except the buyer, I will no longer communicate with them with out a lawyer. This is serious, someone is playing a game and I am done playing. There are real world consequences folks.
Sincerely
Rosemary Dennis Taglialatela

Reading the rules and looking at other photos that have been accepted will really help. Keeping in mind the photos represent the products a company sells. I have had my share of rejects too but once you really understand it does make sense. So just a good or really good photo is not going to make it usually especially of something they have a lot of or is very common with out being exceptional.

I read this with great interest since I have only been shooting for a year as of the end of last Aug. I think my work has dramatically changed. I started with a fairly decent eye for things but I have learned so much particularly in the last 6 months that my work is def better :) Some of you who know me know my beginner people shots of poor Katie, lol
We you might be pleased to see her the way I see her through my lens now :) And in the last one......can you tell what the news is?????

To be good at what you want to do you will need lighting. It's a lot of gear and it will take time learning how to light the areas properly. A tilt shift lens, not sure if Pentax has one, will make a huge difference in your work. This is usually not the type of photography where you just pick up the camera and go with out experience. I wish you the best of luck and would love to see pics.

I love shooting cars, it's one of my fav things to do. This year I shot the International Car show at the Conventions Center in Philadelphia PA and used a 24-70 most of the time.
Reflections are most likely the biggest problem and blessing, lol With out the reflections you would not get that beautiful look you want.
Here is one of my favs from the show

Thank you for the feedback. Will be adding more pics over the next few days. This was my fist time using lighting and the camera on manual! So was a bit challenging, lol but Katie does make it easy to shoot her.

I understand this idea. I will be doing most of my printing at wonderful machine where I will beable to uses some great papers :)

WOW! You are so right about being in a very professional inviorment! I love it and although I have only been there 3 days I have really learned a lot already. I cant wait to work with some of the marv photogs there. Big surprise, they are really nice and very helpful too :) I have a shoot tomorrow and have a lot of equip I will be working with, lol. I had a very crash course on lighting today and I took the owners portrait for the web site today too :) I was thrilled even though I had to stand on a box, lol I oculd not wait to get home to see if they had uploaded his new pic but the web master most likley will not do that until some time this coming week. To be honest he did set up the soft box where he wanted it but it was still thrilling to shoot him :)

Well, the "other brand" is def not my K10d! But I am willing to use both :) camera brands. I have to say I have been there 3 days and am really learning! This si so worth it :)

Well I will be shooting the lovely Ms Katie's boudoir shots tomorrow along with some creative shoe shots I hope. And I have a lot of equip to use for the shoot too :)

Now how could I forget my Pentax family? :)

thank you much! :) I appreciate the wishes :)

Marc I am having a blast really and learning a lot. In 3 days I have read 5 manuals for processes and work flow, lol Learning the paper work for taking out equip on shoots and today I learned a crash and I mean crash course on using lighting! So i will be stocked with an assortment of lighting, pocket wizards and a ring flash too. Wow, I had no idea some of these packs where going to be so heavy! well muscle arms here I come, lol I am keeping my fingers crossed that I learned enough to come home with fab pics tomorrow!

You know it is exciting! thanks for posting. I need to send you an email soon :)

Ah, the first day, lol Well it was a lot of the traditional paper work that has to be done when you start something like this. And reading a bunch of manuals to learn their process and work flow. I am learning a lot already! Sat I have a boudoir shoot with Katie and I get to take lighting and stuff! How cool is that! I have never worked with lighting so tomorrow I get a crash course :) If I had not gotten accepted I have no idea how long it would have taken me to get to a point where I would have access to lighting. Because of this shoot I am jumping right in, its a wee bit over whelming but I will be find. I have to also take the canon and their lenses to follow their work flow. The camera I will be using is different from my K10 D and I do plan on shooting some with my K10 too. And looks huge too! There are a lot of shoots on sat so i got what was left but it will all be just fine. I am very excited and meeting some pretty nice interesting very skilled photogs. Best part is they are very helpful! I can't wait to get to the point where I can work with them on their shoots too. I believe this is going to be a wonderful opportunity and it will really leap me ahead on the learning curve big time.
Everyone, thank you for your well wishes!
