Hi, I have few older film cameras that the meter does not work. I usually take a preview shot with my K200d and use the same setting. It works for me because I usually shot Landscape with film. I have not tried this method with slide film. You can easily take few test shots and see if it works better than using the built meter on your camera.

Why does brightness of the picture for the same situation vary. why ?

Hi, I had a problem that sounds similar to yours. I examined the aperture lever on the lens and it was getting stuck at the wide open end occasionally. The blades were not closing when it was supposed to, therefore overexposing occasionally. I opened the lens, surely enough the screw holding the mechanism that limits the maximum aperture opening was loose.

I am 99.99% sure that the problem is fixed. I lost one of the AF contact spring during the process. I swept the floor with my hands but could not find it. Hopefully replacement is available.

All cleaning solutions are alcohol based. If there were any sugar in your mouth, it will not come off with alcohol. Only water based liquid will get it off.

I use 99%pure tech grade alcohol and distilled water. Alcohol can be purchased at any electronics store.

My experience comes from working on thousands of Lcd panels, both bare panels (glass surface) and panels with polarizer attached (film that the consumer sees).

If you decide to have the sensor cleaned at the shop, make sure they have experience removing dried on organic matter.

What's wrong with our school systems?

Hi, I came to the United States at 16. Attended ESL because there was no English as Third Language class. Graduated high school in 3 years. It was fairly easy to graduate with good grades.

I want to tell you that you are approaching this situation with the right attitude. I feel that one should not stop learning until the day he or she dies. You probably don't know it but all those years in school gave you enough tools (basic foundation) for you to be able to improve yourself later on your life.

I also like to apologize for all of the improper punctuation, and grammar mistakes that I'm sure are in this reply.:p

K200D Shutter Problems?

Hi, digital circuits misbehave when the power supply is not stable. Only thing I can suggest is to check and clean the battery/compartment terminals with cotton swab+alcohol. If you are using rechargeables, try fresh set of AA just to make sure that the problem is not the battery.

K200d operated without the lens inserted indicating that there is no electromechanical sensor to detect the insertion of the lens. Good luck.

Hi, I with Mike on this one. The image turned from ordinary to something more interesting. You can try to apply adjustment brush over the eyes and lips with clarity and sharpness in LR2 to bring back sharpness lost during the softening process.

I do not know why my wife spend so much money on beauty products when I can make her skin look perfect (wrinkle free, moisturized and glowing) for free every time. :):)

I use Lightroom 2.1 and CS3. Lr's dual monitor support is great. After raw/jpeg processing you can export from Lr to CS3 with just a click. Lr will send a copy of the image with all the adjustments presets. After you close the CS3, the edited image goes straight back to Lr (PSD). Since a copy was edited you will have two images next to each other in the browser/catalog.
