I’m also starting to get a sense of the low light strengths of this camera. All I can say is WOW! I’ve read all about it and looked at the online images, but when it’s experienced first-hand it’s so much more impressive than I anticipated. I also have to say that the ergonomics are quickly becoming very, very familiar - one of the attributes that I’ve always appreciated from this brand.
For me, this is a flagship [emoji106] [emoji4]

First time visiting this beautiful park in Northern Ireland - if you're in the area, it's a must see, magical place! Many photos to choose from, but for some reason this one brings it back for me...

I'm not real familiar with birds, and I was going to do a quick Google search, but thought maybe I should ask this community (and increase the number of posts) :)

A must-see place if you're in County Wicklow. The drive to and from will not disappoint... as long as you don't mind twisty (really twisty!), narrow (really narrow!) roads. :)

The view from this bridge is as stunning as the bridge itself. I won't bother posting my pictures of the bridge as there are so many that are far superior, but the view from the bridge... captivating place.

There are so many beautiful cathedrals in this region, and I wasn't expecting much here, but it was truly beautiful. The tour was well worth it, and the view from the rooftop is stunning.

Coming from many years with the K-5, and always struggling to obtain focused photos, I find that this camera is a focusing beast! Maybe all the practice that I got with the K-5 (working on every technique possible to reduce camera blur, etc.) has helped somewhat, but I can't believe how well this fine camera focuses. Makes me believe that Pentax must surely be equal to (or better than) other revered brands. The KP build quality is also outstanding - feels just as well-built and solid as my beloved K-5. I'm really looking forward to getting to know the KP!
(I'm also pleased that I snapped this up during the Amazon Lightning Deal) :)

I recently decided to give the GR II a try... kinda wish I would've picked it up a long time ago. Not only does it produce incredibly sharp images, it's simply fun to use. After years with the K5, I'm amazed at how many well-focused photos I'm getting with this little gem. I was able to grab a quick shot of the Guardian building in Detroit this afternoon -- just pulled out the GR II and snapped a quick photo of the beautiful ceiling. I really don't think this would have turned out as well with my K5.
Which makes me wonder... would I get similar focusing results with a current Pentax body (KP), or would I need to go to another system? After experiencing the joy of the GR II, I may need to replace the K5
