Thanks the info.....I had a Hartblei 45mm t/s but was very disappointed with the image quality on the 645Z , so sold it in favour of the DA 25mm....not quite wide enough on occasions, especially for interiors....so stitching works well enough when needed...Hartblei have hinted that they will do a 'new' version of the t/s for 645....but prevaricate when reminded...Stefan Streib of HCam says it cant be done economically, which is what you're confirming....

...………..A 20-23mm rectilinear would be nice. Put it in a tilt-shift barrel and own the world. Of course, you’d have to own the world to be able to afford it. It needs to be wider enough than 28 not to compete with the 28-45.

Interesting that Hassy have just released their new 21mm rectilinear for the X1D...I wonder if they will eventually do an HTS type tilt/shift converter to go with it?

Wow!....that's an amazingly convoluted process, but the results look stunning....I may try this on one of my high contrast landscape images.....
I usually print on matte paper on my Epson 7900, so the resulting (landscape) images are usually around 36" x24"....I suspect your portraits would look great on matte paper too given the depth of the colours and detail in them...there are no surface reflections on matte paper, so the images tend to look 'richer'...
Onward and upward!

Great feel to the image, and you can almost hear the roar of the rapids!.....just noticed in the EXIF that you were up at F32 on this shot!.some parts of the image look a bit soft on my monitor, so some diffraction there I suspect...better at F11-13 with an ND to maintain the movement in the flowing water?

100mp 44x33mm Medium Format Sensor

Last week I witnessed the Hassy 100MP sensor in action...the corner to corner image quality was absolutely astounding, and considering the conditions we were in, the dynamic range and detail recorded astonishing.....(although I have to admit there was a Rodenstock 'digital' w/a lens in front of it on a technical camera). But, so far, I have found no circumstances where the 645Z image quality is inadequate, and can print 36" x 24" with ease. Perhaps more surprisingly, I have also found recently that I can print that size from the files on my Fuji XT20 travel camera (admittedly with up-sampling in PS), with no reduction in the amount of perceivable detail. It seems we are entering the phase of 'evolutionary' improvement with each step-up in sensor resolution, and although that is one key factor, the main 'revolutionary' thrust seems to be towards mirrorless, which may inevitably be accompanied by improvements in sensor technology?

Thks Ivan - its the DA645 version, built like a tank and has the rotating filter built-into the lens body - I expected a bit of distortion, but the lens correction in LR handled it perfectly as the second image shows....

Third shot is excellent!... light and shade really well controlled and proportional....(I also get great results from the 25mm, but rarely see this kind of light where I live...I bought it using the proceeds of selling my 67 300mm M* EDIF...which I now regret as it was also a great lens!).

Later update…..FYI, just tried my 67 165LS with 67-645 Fotodiox adapter on the 645Z in MU mode....works fine at all apertures and speeds.......bleep counter works to indicate stage 2 MU, shutter fires as normal, image recorded fine, and playback as normal.....????
