So if you have a macro photo detailing technique and equipment used you have to post the technique/equipment in one forum and the photo in another? I don't see any photos in the technique forum.

What camera are you using. The K5 has a pc socket where the cord plugs in, I think the K10, 20 and others also have the socket. You don't need an adapter with these cameras.

If you are looking for a cheap macro ring flash, here's one that works well. I have been using one for several years now. Never mind the Olympus module, it will work fine on a Pentax.

That looks like a copy of the Vivitar Macroflash 5000 that I have. It works fine on my K5. You can probably pick up a X sync cord on ebay.

I set my feeder up outside my shed, and shoot from inside through a window at about 6-10 ft. The window gives me a hiding spot. I set up the camera on a tripod and use flash.

The tiny flower of the poke salad plant. It will turn into a berry that birds love. Although it is poisonous to humans, it does not affect birds. The leaves are not poisonous and are sometimes use to make salad, hence the name poke salad.
