Hi all. I have a problem with my 01a. in the middle of my vacation I found that it won't reach infinity at 80mm and maximum possible infinity zoom is at 60mm. Earlier I was able to use zoom and focus rings freely but now when I try to use zoom ring without focusing ring it stuck. Also when I shake the lens I hear the noise of some small part is inside. Looks like some CF issue. I tried to dissassembly the lens but without any success. I found 6 tiny screws under the focusing ring rubber, removed it but I just can't remove the focusing ring and get access to the mechanic parts.
Also the tiny ring fell from the inside of the lens. About the same size as the one on the aperture control.

Zhang welcome. I don't have the expirience of deglassing 01F, but I saw one without glass on eBay. The seller wrote that it works just like 18F extension tube. I don't see anything wrong here. Actually I have two 18F extension tubes and must say that because it was designed special for 52B(b) tamron lens it has non movable fitment. So when you're trying to attach it to some slower lens (my 19AH for example) it does not fit correctly. The 01F fitment is free to move so it should be the better solution. But actually I doubt that you will use the 18F or deglassed 01F with something else than your 52B since it's the exact macro lens.
I can only tell you "good luck" here. It should work as you think. My 01F has damaged coating, but it seems that I had more luck and it does not affect image quality.

There is only one way I can move it. The hole is long. Sorry for the quality, but it's probably the best I can do.

Thanks for all. I have opened the battery door and found a sticker on the bottom. When I removed it, there was a hole and really some kind of a tiny lever. I think it's this thing. But it's black and I can't move it at all. I have tried with nails and screwdriver.

Hello. I have the Lester Dine (or maybe Nissin) ring flash with PT-2D hotshoe adapter. The same as on the picture. I want to know how to deattach this adapter if in future I will change the camera etc. It should be changeable but I did not found any buttons, screws etc to easily unlock it.
Thank you.

Good collection! I hope I will finish mine with 51B and 06B. But this will take time.
Just one little question. Why do you need 103A and 23A if you have 19AH? Of course, 23A has good magnification at short end, but...

Stone G. I mean higher F number, sorry for this misunderstanding. The diaphragm seems to moving ok, but I'm not a specialist. The only thing I noticed that in A mode it stops a bit wider than in M mode (attached to camera) at the same F-number.

UPD. Thanks.

I doubt this is PK/A adapter because I have 2 adaptall lens and 2 PK/A adapters. They both do overexposure on my 01A and both works great on my 19AH.
Also, the higher F stop I use, the more overexposure I get.
The problem is in A mode only. And the funniest thing that it only appears at more than 35mm focal lenght. See picture attached.

I experience strange things with my Tamron 35-80 01A. 90% of images with focal length more than 35 from my K-30 in all modes are overexposed. The exposure floats from 0-2 steps so I need randomly set my exposure to -1 or -2 before every shot. What it could be?

kacansas03, my primary buying place is eBay, prices grow but with Adaptall lens I remember the joy of bidding instead of buy it now. A few minutes ago I won 18F extension tube. Now I will wait for Tamron 90mm 72B appear with a good price. There is another 18F and 72B listed, but I don't like the price of buy it now the seller wants.

Here is a full list of Tamron lenses. You can find 01A etc under "SP Adaptall-2 Lenses" menu. Unfortunately, there is no 72B, but it's a 90mm macro lens previous to current Tamron 90mm AF macro lens. 18F extension tube was designed and came with 52B and 52BB to make them 1:1 macro from 1:2.
Anyway, thanks, kacansas03!

Thank you for your answer. Marks on the lens says that with 01f teleconverter it should archieve 1:1.1 magnification at 80mm. The thing I learned about extension tubes is that if I use 18F extension tube (45mm) 01A should archieve the same 1:1 magnification at 45mm but at much closer distance to subject. But extension tube calculator says that I should archieve little more than 1:1 magnification even at 80mm and at 45mm it should be about 1.5:1.
But with Tamron 72B which have native 1:1 I should archieve the same 1.5:1 magnification at 90mm. The difference should be in distance to subject and with 01A at some focal lenght the focusing point may appear even behind the first lens.

If I use 01F teleconverter and extension tube at the same time, it's the same as 180mm lens with 45mm extension tube or something changes? Logically, I understand that with 1:1 macro lens I should archieve 2x more magnification than with 1:2 macro lens at the same focusing distance. But what will happen if focal lenght of 1:2 macro lens will be shorter? 80mm, 45mm etc.
