I think K-mount T-Mount is an essential piece of gear to have.
If you spend time haunting estate sales and looking for old gear, you're going to come across more T-mount lenses.
Once you learn to recognize them, regardless of the mount they are equipped with, you have a way to get them mounted on to your Pentax. In some cases even test them before buying,
Cheap investment to open a whole new world of gear, and LBA as Eric alluded to

This converter will only work if you find some screw mount (M42) lenses.
A screw mount 3x converter is likely not very high quality, Likely not worth the investment in more glass?
It should be faster glass too, you'll lose 3-stops of light with it,

K3ii - SD card issues

Another thought, I've discovered with my K3 & K5,
If I've erased/deleted some images in camera, but not reformatted the card, my mac won't see some of the remaining images through iPhoto and Aperture automatic import function. I can see them if I open the card in the Finder (browse the card as if it's an external drive). Then I can manually import them to my photo library.
Not sure I understand why you are having trouble formatting in camera.
Definitely recomend format cards in camera only, never in the computer.

Best Lense for Photographing Artwork?

for stitching you want to overlap each frame by 1/4 to 1/3, if done right, your edges should not be that big of a factor.
I've done it with the routines in Photoshop Elements, and it does it well if you give it enough overlap to work with.

Best Lense for Photographing Artwork?

Wow, my words from the deep past. Had to do a bit of googling and playing around with lenses,
Found this page with some equations and a bit of high school algebra,
With crop sensor, APSc format, cover a 20x24 field of view at:
The 35mm about 3-feet
A 50mm about 4.2-ft
and 100 takes about 8.5-ft
I'd use the longest lens you can given the space and the art size. It's easier to be square to the work when you are back further from it. Also, you need some space to get your lights in without casting shadows from your camera on the art. If doing it occasionally, I'd play with a zoom lens, if you're serious, and doing this often, or need great results for reproduction or enlargements, I'd go with a good prime, likely a macro, for flatter field, and less drop off in the corners,

Let us know how it works out for you

Gorgeous sky as I walked onto the boat tonight, reminds me of a Maxfield Parrish painting,
Wonder if taks caught any of it, we seem to shoot over each others shoulders.

Maybe a good question is:
What filters do you want to use?
Many old film era WAs had built-ins, but these were mostly for use w/B&W film.
Digital is usually about a Polarizer and/or NDs, Many of the other effect filters can be applied in post-processing.
For UWA, as mentioned above, polarizers are not real useful, or desired.
NDs can work well in a holder, particularly graduated NDs to darken skies, they almost have to be in a holders so you can adjust the effect to the horizon.

is there something else you are thinking about?

Caught this Antonov-124 on 10/17/18 afternoon as my ferry docked at Eagle Harbor (west side of Puget Sound). Guessing he may have taken off from Paine Field at Everett. It was headed south and climbing, not in the pattern for either Boeing Field or Seatac. This shot is at the end of my 55-300 lens and cropped heavily (not real proud of this shot, but it tells a story).
Markings have it as a Volga-Dnepr aircraft, which is apparently a Russian carrier specializing in heavy lift cargos.
More or less equal to a USAF C-5? Not sure there is a commercial equal in the west.
Got my curiosity up what it may have been hauling in or out.
