On the chart you can add different cameras to the mix. I added the KP, up to iso 400 it showed higher reading, after that the KP was the lowest of the bunch.

Many programs like PS will make a custom watermark by creating a custom brush. With a brush, you can easily change the size & color and transparently of the watermark.

Just discovered this thread. I only have one 55mm lens, the DA*55 1.4
Here is one I just took of my little dog, handheld. I wanted her looking at me but every time I raised the camera she would look away. Camera shy I guess.

Here is one of our pets taken with the KP and DA*55 1.4 lens. 1/400 at F1.6, iso 1000. Handheld on an unsteady subject. I was wanting a view of her looking toward me but every time I held up the camera she would look away.

You don't have to return it to India, it is sold by B&H which has an excellent return policy. I purchased this lens a few years ago from B&H for $300.00 on sale and the first one was de-centered. I sent it back for an exchanged and the second one was perfect. I don't use it as much since acquiring the DA 15. Just check it right away and hopefully it is fine.
This lens is sold under the name of Bower, Rokinon & Samyang. All the same.

We can get shots like that now, but it's not fog, it's smoke from all the fires in the area.

KP in the hand vs K5?

I have the KP now and can compare it to my prior Pentax's, the K-5 II and K-S2. I use the larger grip and carry with a wrist strap. For me the actual carrying the KP is fine. My main complaint is the placement of the buttons for "back button focus." I keep pushing the wrong button, but I am getting better. Never had this problem with the other two cameras, and this is just a memory problem for myself.

There are various ways to check & adjust the fine focus adjustment of your lens. I stumbled upon the DotTune method and find it really easy.

Road Trip Photo Logs

Years ago I kept a written log during a motorcycle trip to the Arctic Circle using two different cameras. I kept a written log/diary because of two different cameras with different file numbers. I made sure each camera had the same date & time and recorded the time & date when describing what I was taking a picture of so I would remember when I got home. Once home I loaded up all the pictures and used the software to sort them all according to the time the picture was taken (Lightroom will do that if you have it}. Once sorted in the order you like, use the software to rename each photo in sequential numbers.

I have the DA 55 but haven't used the Sigma 35. One thing I noticed is the Sigma is near twice the weight of the Pentax. I don't know about the difference in physical size.

I really like my Asus "Republic of Gamers" laptop. Has a solid state drive for the OS, a 1 TB 7200RPM drive for data, 24 GB's of ram, enough usb3 ports, and other ports. I run PS, LR and Premiere Pro without any problems. My wife likes her Dell Alienware laptop too.
I have the 17" model, but it comes in 15".

I was wanting something lighter & smaller so I did a lot of research and sold my Canon 5D & all my Canon gear and jumped into Pentax with the K-5 II a few years ago. Best move for photography I did. I am now using the Pentax KP.

I don't know what Precision charges for the aperture block repair, I sent my K-S2 to Pentax Camera Repair - Aperture Control Repair for repair. It cost $100.00 (US) plus shipping. Took about a week to return to me. The camera works great.

Getting aperture control block on my K-S2 :(

I had posted above about having no problems with my K-S2 but after posting I did have this problem. I had purchased a KP and the K-S2 had been unused for almost a year. I had decided to sell it but while sitting unused it seemed to develop the aperture block problem. I sent the camera to PC Photo Lab for repair, after seeing recommendations from others. Here is the link: Pentax Camera Repair - Aperture Control Repair
The camera works great now. But I won't be selling it, my wife decided to leave her trusted K1000 and wants to use the K-S2 with her manual lens.

How has printing affected your photography (if it has)?

Back in the 80's I had printed a few photos, but none since then. When I take & save my photos I do it at the highest resolution, prepare it just in case I decide to print but never do. About ten years ago a person wanted to buy one my Mt Rainier photos on print. I was a little excited about it but the sale didn't happen. The person had seen a low-resolution copy of the photos on my photo site and the full resolution was on my backup disc. At that time I was using DVD's to backup on. When I went to retrieve the files I discovered all my older DVD's were corrupted. Lost all my older family photos that I had digitized, and everything else. I immediately changed my backup method to using two separate USB drives that are stored separately.

I would like to print some of my landscape photos but don't know what I would do with them. Not a lot of wall space left in our house.

Catch-In-Focus with KP

One of the things that surprised me was the KP able to obtain the focus since I was walking toward the glass ball while holding the camera with only my right hand. There was a lot of camera movement. I should explain I am recovering from rotator cup surgery on my left shoulder, so not at my best.
Camera settings were Pentax KP, lens DA*55/1.4 at 1/250, F3.5 iso 100. I love the bokeh of this lens.

Here is a crop shot:

I have had three different Pentax cameras but have never checked out the CIF function. I just acquired the DA*55/1.4 lens which has a manual/auto switch on the lens so I thought I would finally try the CIF out. I was really impressed with the accuracy of this method. My target was a little glass ball hanging on a string. The ball is about 5/8" in diameter. I stood about three feet from it and focused the lens, then backed about eight feet away and using CIF just started walking toward the ball keeping it in the focus point. I was using the viewfinder.
