I vote for the lens in the thread title!
The picture of the leopard was taken 2012 with a Pentax K5.
I had earlier a SMC Pentax-DA* 300mm F4 ED [IF] SDM but changed to the 60-250 zoom as I used a APS-format camera. Good decision??
The 60-250 is extremely sharp and the best lens for wildlife photo with APS-format cameras.
Now I have Pentax K1 since three years but I still miss my 60-250!!

Yes, the DA*4/60-250 is a great lens - and your shot is another excellent example!
But why don't you use it with your K1?
The baffle-modification is an easy job and the lens performs very well on the K1
