Price...

Hehe... I guess I should have included that. After years on dpreview I was a little disoriented with this cool site and the many buttons

375$ USD + shipping. I'm open to buyer's preference for shipper (UPS/FedEx...) so long as there is tracking/insurance.

New Price

The DA* announcement hasn't helped, I want that 16-50.

So, new price for the Sigma EX DG Macro, 329 USD, 100$ lower than the new price at B&H.

Already have the Tamron 28-75 f/2.8...

But I've always wondered.. why is the 24-70 so much bigger? Makes people notice it a lot more for sure.

Hi Pete, yeah it's the close focusing one. It's the Macro DG version... basically the latest version of the Sigma 24-70 EX with the updated coatings.

And the lens does cover the imaging circle of 24x36mm cameras - I wouldn't hold my breath in the short term for Pentax digital, but if you still shoot film - it's a must.
