Welcome to edition 181 of the Pentax Forum's Picture of the Week. Lukulele will again welcome your photos from around the globe.

This edition covers photos from Sept. 11 to Sept 25, 2011. That lets you show off any shots you took last week but haven't processed until now. In other words, you can post your shots from this week AND last week


POTW is a great place to show what you've been shooting day-to-day. It gives us all a chance to see what other members are up to with their Pentax (and Samsung) cameras in the parts of the world in which they live or have visited. We can share ideas, learn from one another, and have a good time.

So show us what you've seen in your little corner of the planet! Looking forward to seeing all of what's out there this week. A special welcome to all new members!

Again same rules as always:

1) No theme, just post your favourite pix.

2) Lets keep it to fewer than 6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week.

3) Any Pentax camera or Samsung SLR is fine, whether it's film, P&S, or DSLR.

4) Enter anything you shot last week or during this current week until the thread closes.

5) The current host will appoint the new host as an invitation via Private Message (PM). If possible, the new thread will be linked to the previous one and the new thread will start between Noon EDT and 5PM EDT on Sunday. If the thread doesn't start, please contact Peter Zack, Moderator via PM.

Thanks for hosting Rob1234-here's hoping we have another bumper POTW this week as well.

Visited my favorite Botanical gardens to savor the arrival of Spring and was not disappointed. So some flowery contributions this week. But let me start with self portrait, which I should mention I only look like this on a bad day, and posting it here in case someone reckons I am too flowery Kinda like "don't mess with me dude!

lukulele, thanks for hosting again. Nice pair of photos to start us off -- the "floating" road signs are good fun. I guess you have to loop through a corner of VA on your way to the cabin.

Rob -- fun bokeh sunset with spider silhouette -- hard to categorize that one!

noelcmn -- thanks for another lovely set of flower shots. I particularly like the lighting on the "red" shot.

Rense -- great colorful abstract, thought-provoking as usual from you!

David -- what an interesting set -- what are those blue things?

SpecialK -- I love fortuitous captures like that.

Tom -- what red-blooded kid could resist throwing bricks at the old school being torn down?

John -- nice weird katydid on glass, and funny mall "fotos" shot

xjjohnno -- for some reason your latest batch isn't loading for me.

Robin -- yet another original view of what would otherwise be ordinary.

I'll toss these in just to share something; some young bluebirds outside my window this morning. A little far off for this lens (these are about 66% crops); glare off the glass didn't help the IQ.

Bluebirds aren't normally tree-clingers but I guess young ones are:
