Welcome to edition 191 of the Pentax Forums' Picture of the Week. Special thanks to Clou for hosting the previous week and inviting me to host this week.

This edition covers photos from 20 November - 04 December 2011. That lets you show off any shots you took last week but haven't processed until now. In other words, you can post your shots from this week AND last week.

POTW is a great place to show what you've been shooting day-to-day. It gives us all a chance to see what other members are up to with their Pentax (and Samsung) cameras in the parts of the world in which they live or have visited. We can share ideas, learn from one another, and have a good time.

So show us what you've seen in your little corner of the planet! Looking forward to seeing all of what's out there this week. A special welcome to all new members!

Again same rules as always:

1) No theme, just post your favorite pix.

2) Lets keep it to fewer than 6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week.

3) Any Pentax camera or Samsung SLR is fine, whether it's film, P&S, or DSLR.

4) Enter anything you shot last week or during this current week until the thread closes.

5) The current host will appoint the new host as an invitation via Private Message (PM). If possible, the new thread will be linked to the previous one and the new thread will start between Noon EDT and 5PM EDT on Sunday. If the thread doesn't start, please contact Peter Zack, Moderator via PM.

Hi guys...So new challenge awaits all of us. I must say that it is an honour o host this photo challenge since I'm a new member - THX Clou!

I'll start off with some fresh pics i shoot a couple of hour ago.
1. Today, the weather in Croatia was magnificent...the most beautiful part of the day was sunset.

2. The second one was taken at the hiking shelter in the northern part of my town.

Thanks for hosting brvnara! Some nice shots already. Not much time for photography of any sort for me these days and it is sort of between seasons here. I did get out on Saturday though.

Bar-o-nite, what a fabulous Heron photo, how close was he?

Thx Tom! It's about a 42% crop from my 200mm/K10D, if that's enough info to work out the distance. I'd say about 20' up and 25' over, hence 32' distant. But that's a rough guess from memory. This is a bird that is very used to people; the tree is right over the path around the garden pond. Congrats on finishing the project!

SpecialK: nice shot of that memorial. (Have to confess I have a Canon P&S also!)

Hello brvnara,
The Blue Ridge Parkway walls (mp 217-220 now closed) dissasembled to be reset by European stonemasons after 75 years of peaceful stillness and a coworker giving me a spelling bee judge look of disdain. Just walking on the Parkway surface with both ends closed is truly mesmerizing. Great stuff everyone, and nice to have baro-nite back. Finally got our school to buy the Cyber Monday K-5. Excited!
