Lets keep up the high standard of shots we have seen over the past weeks.

Rules as before:
1) No theme just your favorite stuff.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week .

I was taking pics of birds though my glass door when this caught my eye. The first shot is the original the other two are B&W conversions using different techniques.

Can't believe the differences in the techniques on these. I used the green channel on the last one. Fun to play with when there isn't much else going on.

Tom /borno,
I really like your bird shots. Second one seems to be just right at 510mm, but still the first one on the branch is my fave. How big is this bird?

Thanks Georg, That heron was pretty small as herons go, I'd guess 10 in (25 cm), more if he stretched out his neck.

We had a storm the other night, and I stuck my camera out the attic window. I snapped a few shots. This one turned out kind of cool. Not technically correct by any means, but there is a bolt of lightening in the bottom left area way off in the distance. I believe I see a little horizontal banding in the under exposed blueish areas too.
