Thanks for hosting Tran
You always have a great shot of a pretty lady, I am lousy with people so I've been chasing birds lately. Bad conditions and crummy sky this weekend but I got a couple ok ones:

Thanks for hosting Tran . I 'll have to agree with Tom on the Ladies comment. THat is a nice pose as well.

Tom - love the eagle shots. You sure have a good place to capture them. Did he miss the fish in the last one ?

Wayne - very different series I like how it gets progressively darker.

I spend Sunday in Jasper, Alberta (a national park in the mountains) I saw some deer, a fox , some elk and Caribou only managed to capture the last two though.

Click on image for larger view

A couple elk just taking it easy grazing on on grass burried in all the snow

Some Caribou doing the same thing these guys were quite a ways a away - the last one was with the Bigma fully extended hand held a littlet soft but not too bad

Nice Elk shots Dave, they don't seem to mind the cold
The one Eagle grabbed a fish that turned out to be nasty and he flipped it off

A lot of great photos already. Great photographers on this forum.

Tran – Very nice lady.

Tom – Awesome eagle shots.

Wayne – Intriguing and different series. I like them.

Dave – Nice shots of the elk and caribou but to cold for me.

Here are a few of mine from Saturday. I have taken so many action shots of Aikido practising that I felt a new approach was needed and I tried to catch some nice close-up shots of the participants.

Cheers
Eddie

Tom - Thanks . I'm lousy at bird shooting so I'm after the pretty ladies ! Actually I'm trying to make some pocket changes for shooting people by using these "models" for sample works ! I live close to 2 colleges so plenty of "models" to shoot . Words of mouth do wonder !

Your last shot is just great !

Wayne - Very cool lighting . Dark and mysterious .

Dave - You're welcome . Great place for a shoot ! I like the first image : very peaceful .

Took my trusty DS out last week for a some location scouting . It's "winter" here so here we go again with the dark and mysterious IR stuff

Keep them posting folks .

This thread is for everybody . The more you shoot the more you learn .

Visit to the zoo on Saturday with the grandkids.
Sigma 18-125 on K20D.
Pretty decent image through thick glass - wouldn't get this close otherwise!

Eddie - Nice series . I know what you mean . I try to shoot differently with each person based on her look/personality . Not working all the time but not bad .

May I suggest you try a series of close up on the faces .

Tran, well done for hosting, lovely lady as always. Really like your woodsy shot.
Tom, your dedication is phenomenal and your photograpy is reaping the benefit.
Wayne, I like your series.
Dave, "There's snow business like snow business like snow business I snow
Everything about it is a freezin'
Everything needs doing with a plough
Nowhere do you get that chilly feeling
When you don't have ice on your brow
There's no people like snow people
They smile when they get cold

Eddie, nice martial arts series
Garth, that guy needs a new barber.
A few images from work
Amazing that that poor rose is still trying to bloom in January
