Welcome to Picture of the Week #77 08/23/2009 - 09/06/2009

Thanks daacon for hosting last weeks #76 POTW thread.

Once again same rules and really other than time frames there are no rules

1) No theme just your favorite stuff.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week.
3) Any Pentax camera is fine, film, P&S, DSLR (or Samsung DSLR)
4) Date : Sunday 08/23/2009 to Sunday - Sunday 09/06/2009. Enter anything you shot last week or during this current week until the thread closes.

Wolf Creek, Letchworth State Park

Some shots from a local state park. took the kids there for a hike and some photos. they kept busy finding salamanders and crawfish. A very windy day and low light in the woods. Posted some others in Post your Photos thread

I have done very little with the camera lately but took a break from house-improvements and had a few days in the Lake District last week.

Nothing very original, it was very wet... even the Heron was waterlogged.

These mountain shots look familiar. Did you post winter shots from the same location at some point?

Here's a shot from my backyard, I must be going through an abstract phase in my photography. I seem to be shooting things a little different, from a different perspective.

Frank, thank you for hosting this week. I hope it will be a great week with many fine photographs.

Here is one of mine, related to the "Ick waec" in the Post your Photos section.

Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with the hosting of the POTW thread for this week. And hopefully we'll see a lot of great pics as well.

Andras: Nice BW conversions #2 is my favorite.

Xjjohonno: I like the fisheye shots - I have to get one of those - That duck looks like it is doing yoga

Scott: The slow shutter of the water shots are very nice. Excellent!

Dave - Good scenery shots. The water fallis my favorite.

The other Dave: You got some nice mountain shots before you left. We're all looking forward to seeing some shots from your trip.

Rense: Nice shot of those bikes. I sure like the architecture of the buildings in the background. We don't have anything like that where I live.
