Cheney Mill Building, Manchester, Connecticut
| Description |
Another building in the complex of fabric mills once owned by the Cheney Brothers. Manchester was a major center of silk production in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, giving the city its nickname; "Silk City". Now converted largely to apartments, the area was named a National Historic Landmark in 1978.
In keeping with the "day in the life" idea of this gallery and World Pentax Day, I wanted to shoot something with a unique regional quality. Here are a few digital shots; the film shots will have to wait 'til Monday to be processed .
Best to all,
Kevin
