Calm after the storm

This area is located just off the highway on the way to one of my favorite state parks. It's such a beautiful spot that I always glance at it every time I drive by including the day before while on the way to set up camp. That night a storm blew through and in the morning as I was driving by on my way to a set of falls I wanted to photograph, I noticed that the big tree that was hanging on to the shore so precariously for the last few years had finally let go.
