Peacock
| Description |
My first choice in considering what I wanted to shoot were the beautiful California poppies in bloom about 50 miles from where I live at a state reserve. However, I didn't have time although I did get some very nice pictures a week ago. At the time, I wasn't thinking about participating. I just recent just purchased the new SMC PENTAX D FA MACRO 100MM F2.8 WR lens. My first outing with this lens was a week ago to get pictures of the poppies. Today, I decided to take my camera with me and went to visited my mother with the thought of finding somewhere to take a few pictures. I haven't been to the Los Angeles County Arboretum for quite some time and it was on the way back to my home. Just after entering, I saw several peacocks that walking around freely and which allowed me to get close. I decided that I wanted to use my new lens more. What a wonderful a opportunity. I also got some nice pictures of flowers and trees in bloom. I have been very happy with the lens.
