I'd stopped along the Wisconsin River south of Lone Rock to photograph a fallen shed alongside 130. After parking, I climbed back up to the road and found lichens on top of some of the posts supporting the guardrail. I had my M28 and M50 with me, but these firedot lichens (genus Caloplaca) probably deserved to be photographed with my Kiron. Unfortunately, I was running out of time, and there wasn't much room for a tripod on that side of the guardrail. Maybe another day. . . .
