Abandon All Hope...
| Description |
The weather on World Pentax Day in Connecticut left a great deal to be desired; overcast and threatening rain. I was determined to submit photos shot on film (despite having a K100D and K10D) at my disposal. Pentax has a long and proud history on film and that should be represented, particularly on World Pentax Day. The overcast sky leant itself to B&W, so I loaded up a roll of Tri-X and literally went to town.
This was the main entrance to the Colt Firearms Factory. Title refers more to the process of 19th century manufacturing than the product being manufactured. I'm a firm believer in the 2nd Amendment. The thought of repeating the same task over-and-over-and-over to earn a living would be my definition of hell.
This entrance is topped by an iconic blue starred dome with a statue of a rampant colt at the dome's peak. Unfortunately neither of my two shots of the entry which included the dome are worthy of inclusion here. Anyone wishing to see a shot of the dome (in color) can do so by clicking here. | Camera | ME Super | Lens | Soligor 28 f2.5 | Location |
