Ok, I’m gonna get right to it…this shot with my K-x was difficult! Let me explain my process for capturing this photo. I found the place where I wanted to take the picture but the problem was that there was a two-way street and no real spots to park. I eventually decided to pull on the side, half of the car was on dirt along someone’s property and half was in the street (because of the lack of room). I turned on my hazard lights and pulled out my camera and put it on a tripod. I then pulled out my flash and set it up and then tried to take a shot before the next car came. So the first picture was taken and I was excited to see it, only to be disappointed in the fact that my head and legs were cut off haha. Taking self portraits really sucks and is hard, especially when taking a shot like this. Back to the story. Cars would turn onto the street and I had to move my gear and wait for the coast to be clear which meant I had to re-setup my tripod. I even had one guy stop and say, “if you’re going to be doing that you should have some cones set up”…ok. Anyways, I jumped multiple times trying to get photo I wanted and was getting tired but eventually I got the shot and I’m happy with the end result. One thing is for sure though, the process it took to get this picture was the most difficult to date.
