Testing the use of the A 1.4X S with the M 400/5.6. (ignore the file name - I screwed up). Cowbirds at my back yard feeder in early evening, lit directly by the sun. July 6, 2011, 19:16 (7:16 pm).
K10D, M 400/5.6 @ f/8 + A 1.4X-S converter.
ISO 400, 1/180" @ f/8 (f/11 effective)
The old lens is not too bad at f/8. I applied no noise reduction or CA/PF treatments.
