Taking Flight on the Surf

Critique on the shot was spot on regarding the unrecoverable details on the whitewash and less favourable pose of the surfer not being able to see his face. The original does have most of the highlight detail, and this was a tall order given the direct sunlight and high contrast between bright whites and shadow details of the subject. Nevertheless, I appreciate the input and agree, but thankful for the acceptance into PEG.

I can't believe this was taken with the 70-200. How much sharpening did you apply in PP?

Taking Flight on the Surf

Minimal sharpening -> basic settings on Photoshop.
Selective colouring to deepen the blues and boost the highlights.
Skin tones were also enriched.
That's about it.
It was shot with the 55-300 (at 200mm)
