I love a hot spring bath...
| Description |
This is one of the famous "Snow Monkeys" of Jigokudani (Hell Valley) in Nagano Prefecture, Japan. One of the females of the troupe discovered an outside onsen bath and decided that it was much warmer in the water than outside in the snow. The whole troupe has since learned to use the bath, and the onsen (hot spring) owners probably make more money from people coming to see the monkeys than from people who stay for the hot spring! You can get very close to the monkeys in the bath, in fact the lens was almost at it's closest focus here.
