Title Summer Storm Sunset
Description The sunset came shortly after a late afternoon summer thunderstorm passed through the area and left some scattered clouds behind. I walked around and took some photos with a wide angle lens, when I noticed this peculiar tree branch, so I changed to a 100mm lens for this shot. I took two photos, the first one at f16 and 30sec. The long exposure caused some movement blurring of the clouds. The second one was at f5.6 and 8sec. The second one was at f5.6 and 8sec. This stopped the cloud movement, but the corresponding shallower DOF caused the branch to go out of focus. I decided on the first photo because the branch looked better that way and clouds often look a little bit fluffy anyway.

A Polarising filter was used.
No Post Processing.

Summer Storm Sunset

Hi Adam and judges,

I uploaded this photo as an entry for the "Noise Reduction Software Giveaway".
Thank you for all the comments, I appreciate them and took note. Thanks for your time spent commenting.

Regarding the comment about PP: The RAW image was converted to JPG
using the Pentax SilkyPix software and later resized using IrfanView,
but other than that, no PP. I think the polariser helped to
enhance/alter the colours a bit. I have a 31mm shot showing some rain
and more of the clouds, but the spot where the sun is has got the same
colouring. The 31mm lens also had a polariser on.
RAW image file(s) available :-)

Keep up the good work.
Regards,
Paul
