ok - this is where I would like a 400mm.
Good shot nonetheless.
Have you tried any of the freeware focus stacking utilities out there, I can recommend Picolay (http://www.picolay.de/)

Hey, thank you, I must say my K3 is a lot easier to get a good sharp & well exposed image than my old K20d but yes, I must give focus stacking a try, I imagine it's not so easy taking multiple photos of something like this spider which hardly sits still. I will check out Picolay, thank you.
