I wanted to try out my 55-300 mm on the moon, and had just locked in and recomposed the spot meter exposure when this group of pelicans flew right into the viewfinder as I fired off a few shots. ISO was higher than I would have liked but I wanted a high shutter speed as I didn't have my tripod (1600 is about as high as I like to go), so there is more noise than I'd like but tried to remove some of it without losing the sharpness of the birds. I had to do some compromising here..
