Very Unsual Sunset Colour in Vancouver
| Description |
The massive fire at Vancouver Port, two days prior to when I took this, spewed lots of particles into the air. Bad for the asthmatics; but a delight to shutterbugs. One of the things I noticed was the intense and purplish colour of the sky at sunset. (I came back a day later but never saw again the purplish colour.)
I took this with the sought-after SMC Pentax K 35mm f/3.5 at f/8.0. I stacked two circular polarizers (variable ND filters not needed) to darken the scene resulting in a 13 second exposure. I did not tweak the colours but made adjustments to exposure and sharpness.
