Bumble bee on dandelion
| Description |
First processed shot from my new K-1. I decided to stick a "new tech" lens on for the trial run - the DA 50/1.8. The dandelions had popped up over the past few days providing an ample crop for the pollen collectors such as this Bombus ternarius. I am impressed with the complete lack of both luma and chroma noise on this ISO1600 frame. I did not do any noise reduction in post and all in-camera noise reduction was turned off. Only the tiniest bit of high-frequency sharpening was added in post to bring out the hair on the bumblebee a bit more. The oof background bokeh is very nice here. No vignetting so this lens is a winner on the K-1.
