Female Rufous Hummingbird
| Description |
I put the HD 1.4 TC on the K-1 then attached the DA*300 and went shooting birds in the yard in crop mode at the equivalent angle of view of a 642mm lens. Current thinking is that any long lens shooter is going to stick with the 24mp of the K-3 rather than downgrade to the K-1 crop mode. I'm not so sure. The images from the K-1 have a quality that the K-3 cannot achieve. I'm not talking resolution here, instead, it is the overall quality of the image: the almost noiseless backgrounds, the luminous dynamic range, the ease of working with the raw image in post. Judge for yourself.
