The skies finally cleared here after almost a month of cloud and precipitation. And what better way to investigate the powers of the K-1 than to point it at Orion the Hunter. This is a stack of 30 separate exposures stacked in PixInsight v1.8 with final processing in darktable v2.0.7. Ice started to form around the edge of the lens as the temperature dropped below freezing which explains the crappy corners which could not be totally rescued in post. Each frame was 40 seconds at ISO1600, f/5.6. Tracking on an Astrotrac TT320X-AG mount. The K-1 is an excellent astro machine.
