A surprise visitor: Varied Thrush
| Description |
I'm all set up with my trusty M 400/5.6 on Manfrotto 055B tripod with Lens Master RH 2 Gimbal head, taking pictures of a large flock of Black Eyed Juncos that have been feeding in the back yard for a few days, and left room for a Junco to stand on top, but in the middle of my shoot with everything locked down, This fellow flew in and stayed for a high speed triplet with the K-3. f/8 @ 1/500, ISO 800. The trees behind are due South of the house, and the feeder is in the shade at the best of times, let alone with a cloud cover in the afternoon.
