Title Butterfly kisses
Description Handheld macro shot with Sigma 17-70 DC Macro lens and testing back-button focus with AFC mode (see the thread about perfect focus everytime). Looks like camera and lens will do a great job and kept focus even with me moving a bit. Encouraging results and will work on a quick-adjust monopod to help with keeping steady and different focus points to see what works best for different subjects and distances - had full multipoint on for this and will try spot.
Camera Pentax K3ii
Lens Sigma 17-70 DC macro f2.8-4.0

Butterfly kisses

A great shot. How much time did it take to get it?

Butterfly kisses

Thanks! I took 15 pics over 5 minutes. There were two butterflies flitting about and I would move into a better position each time they left the flower patch and try to be ready for one to return. Used back button focus and AFC in 70mm macro mode. Still working out the process but got better results than I used to with shutter focus. Baby steps... Happy shooting!
