Lightburst
| Description |
Lying on the ground near sunset with frozen hands in serious winds I started to feel like a real landscape photographer. This view from Castle Point, Co. Clare is one of my favourites but after more than an hour waiting for light it might be a while before I revisit it! I was pleased with several of the captures and ultimately could not choose between two of them, so I will upload both.
At first I planned on a longer focal length to highlight the rocky island. But I preferred taking in the whole vista including the nearby shore to accentuate the perspective. In the final analysis the light told me what to shoot.
Taken at 16mm with the Pentax 16-45mm. ISO 200. Three exposures centered around f/11 1/500s.
