| | So far I've only used this lens on film (but that will change soon.) On 110 film, performance is somewhat hard to gauge well. Here are some points to mirror my ratings above:
Sharpness -- Renders details at least as well as 110 can handle. Leaves and tree branches can be discerned on better film stock (read as: ones you cut yourself and reload into 110 cassettes yourself.)
Aberrations -- So far none that I've seen in the 60+ photos I took with this lens that I scanned before writing this review (I've used it on around 15 rolls of film so far.)
Bokeh -- Generic and unremarkable, but really there is none because in sunlight this lens pretty much puts everything in focus.
Handling -- this lens' best features -- there's nothing to do! Just point it in a direction and push the shutter release.
Value -- It's the same design as the focusable 18mm, so to save some money just find that lens' hyperfocal point and tape it in place. This lens is a bit spendy for what it is because of the relative scarcity.
Overall -- It's fine and is one of my two go-to 110 lenses because it's so easy to use. | |
