| | This lens is a very handy compact zoom. It produces results very similar to the Takumar F 70-200, another lens without SMC coatings. I have used this lens on both digital and film cameras with very good results across the board. Having the "A" setting makes it very useful on those Pentax cameras without the fully functional lens mounts, allowing the camera to set f-stop. For a couple years this lens was in my daily carry bag to fill the zoom requirement because of its small size and good handling characteristics, as well as its more than acceptable image quality. I have found it to produce very good images across the zoom range. I recommend the use of a hood in order to avoid flare.
