Latest Review Posted	S-M-C/Super Takumar 300mm F4 It's definitely wortth more than what I paid for it. Like all vintage lenses, you need to know its strengths and weaknesses. One needs to work around it. The lens is very well made (very typical of Takumar lenses). I have the SMC version in brand new condition. I committed to using only one lens last time I visited the local zoo. It rewarded me with very nice images. The CA is bad wide-open but it is nothing you can't fix in post (especially when there's no purple in the image other than the CA itself). Sharpness: I was surprised by how sharp it is especially for such an old lens. It is not "modern" sharp but it is very sharp for a vintage lens. 10/10 Aberrations Bad aberrations at f4 but it improves as soon as you stop down to f5.6. I'm not too bothered. All good images are worth editing in post. 7/10 Bokeh Nice bokeh. I don't mind the bokeh even when stopped down. It is not distracting. I give it a 9/10 because of the low number of aperture blades. Handling Great! I find that the long focus throw helped me nail the focus. Not good for fast moving subjects but at 300mm, it helps nail the focus. 9/10 Value Seriously?! At this price??
