Latest Review Posted | SMC Pentax-FA 20mm F2.8 I like wide angle lenses. I've got the DA 12-24, Zenitar 16mm FE, FA 20-35, and this lens the FA 20mm. This is an excellent lens. Surprisingly compact for it's 2.8 aperture and 20mm focal length. It has nice tight close focus and is contrasty and sharp sharp sharp. If you need to manually focus, the focus ring has a nice smooth feel to it. I would say it's bokeh is second only to my "K" 50 F1.2 and my FA 77 F1.8. I use a "normal" collapsible rubber hood when shooting with my K20D and have had no troubles with vignetting. I tried a 'wide angle' hood on it, but found a 'normal' hood gave better flare protection. Other than a slight proclivity to CA and flare which are common with all WA lenses, I consider this lens to be completely free of any kind of problem. Someone else mentioned it as good as their FA limiteds and I concur.
