Latest Review Posted | SMC Pentax-M 135mm F3.5 The single greatest thing about this lens is the size and weight. It's smaller and lighter than the modern-day 18-55 kit zoom, despite an all-metal construction.
In exchange it's not that fast, doesn't have auto focus or aperture, and doesn't focus terribly close. Oh well, nothing comes free.
The IQ is overall pretty good. The color rendition is great, at least in my opinion However, it's soft wide open. It also shows a lot of purple fringing in high contrast scenes, particularly wide open. But stopped down a bit and in decent light it does great. |
