I've ummed and aahed over buying this lens for quite a while now. I had the kit 18-55mm which is decent but having bought DA* 50-135 and the 300mm I wanted this lens. I read reviews, re-read them and the negatives were gnawing away at me. The Tamron 17-50mm looked a great deal and I've tried Sigma lenses which are ok/good but didn't give me that "Wow factor". A month ago I decided to treat myself and bought for £695 in the UK. Geez, why did I wait so long! The copy I have is just, well it's WOW. The images are super sharp, the colours have that Pentax magic and I've only shot handheld so far. I'm even considering selling my DA15mm Ltd now due to the results I'm getting. So in essence, don't dither just go out and treat yourself :-)
Only 1 problem now. I'm saying to myself "What will this lens be like with a K5-IIs?" |
