Great little lens. A true plastic fantastic. I don't own any other newer DA K mount lens that i can compare this too but I do own another plastic fantastic from Sony, the DT 35mm f1.8 and I can honestly say that they're almost on par in IQ. The only negative aspect I see is the loud AF but that does not matter as I don't shoot videos.
Don't be put off by the plastic construction. When I first opened the box that darn lens looked so tiny and was just all plastic everywhere but after a few shots I forgot about the plastic. As for those people who complain about the plastic mount; all i can say is metal or plastic, it does not matter as this lens is so light, I don't see how you can break it off the mount and besides on some lenses with metal mounts the mounts are screwed on plastic components inside the lens anyway so what's the big deal?
Lens is sharp at 2.8, AF not so so but then again I believe that's due to my camera (K200D) non the less this lens is highly recommended.
