My gosh, I give this lens a 10 on fun-factor alone. What an amazing prime. It turned my K100d into an everyday carry camera. I used to carry around my superb Sony DSC-V3...but with this lens on, it makes for the perfect carry camera.
I am very impressed with the auto-focusing speed. I was a Pentax SLR user and sold most of my lenses, including my M-series 40mm pancake. Comparing both, this DA is a better lens, and even thinner.
As stated, I still have a few of my older lenses. But walking around NYC, this lens allows you to carry around a DSLR in a compact package.
Wide open at 2.8 it's very sharp. I would have to say that it's sharper than my A 50mm 1.7. A gem for a low, low price. Great job Pentax! |
