It really makes the 645D shine. I have shot with 645 and 67 lenses from 35mm to 1200mm and this lens is the one that is clearly matched to the camera sensor. The look is so crisp and even with amazing color. Most all of the older film era lenses MUST be shot two three even four stops down to achieve a usable look for big prints. This is the only one that sharpens right up two thirds of a stop off the bottom. The stabilization feature can be amazingly useful although the sound it makes is dreadful, sounds like an electrical short. I really wish Ricoh would add a matched 40mm f2.4 and a 165mm f2.8.

These adaptors are great using P67 lenses on 645D cameras. If i could afford it , i would buy one for every 67 lens i own to reduce all the changing in the field. I have three now and they both are the best lens adaptors i have ever used.

This lens makes amazing photos. The sharpness color and bokeh are top notch. It is so small and light compared to beasts like the 105 2.4 . The close focus is less than 17 inches making it among the nearest focusing P67 lens, closer than the macros! On a 645D this lens makes the 645 75mm FA look very poor in contrast, color, flare, edge to edge sharpness , etc.. This becomes apparent in big prints (24x30). This lens will see detail the other one cant. If i could keep only two P67 lenses it would be this one and the 55-100mm.

This lens is the highest quality super telephoto I have ever used. No chromatic abberations. Image quality amazing. The lens is huge, and required a purchase of its own backpack from Kata, who make a TLB-800 for 800 mm lenses. Overall length with caps is about 24 1/2 inches. Most standard photo backpacks are 22 inches. The best photos i have taken so far involve mirror lockup and waiting several seconds for vibration to die down. Otherwise shutter speed needs to be up at 1/1600th on my tripod and head. The focus mechanism and damping system are excellent and easy to use. I am still working on my technique and frankly can become frustrated in the field when working with this lens. When i see the images onscreen and in print , i no longer care about the cumbersome process in the field.
